"I got bored with the Space Program when I first read about SETI as a kid, twenty years ago. When I saw the photos and the MASSIVE amounts of money that were poured into this delusional program I realized there was nothing to it. Fantasy I love - in fiction. When I saw idiots taking this fiction to heart, that's when I switched to "real-world" science fiction like William Gibson and Neal Stephenson. It's the other way around than how he's presenting it."
